/marketplace/opensearch
One node with its security plugin off: no password and plain HTTP, so it is only ever reachable from containers on its networks. Wants a minute and about 1.5 GB to start. It has no password of its own, so it stays on your networks.

Credentials
This engine has no login of its own, so it is never opened to the internet: only containers on its networks, or the server itself, reach it.
Backups
A copy of its folders, taken while it runs, on a plan you choose, into your own bucket.
| Variable | What it is |
|---|---|
discovery.type | One node on its own. |
DISABLE_SECURITY_PLUGIN | No users and no TLS. Anything on its network can read and write it. |
DISABLE_INSTALL_DEMO_CONFIG | Do not install the demo certificates and users. |
OPENSEARCH_JAVA_OPTS | The Java heap. Keep it to about half the memory you give the container. |
node.store.allow_mmap | Do not memory-map index files — they would need a kernel setting (vm.max_map_count) changed on the server. |
/start
Request early access. The listing is free — you pay for the server it runs on, by the hour.
